- Welcome to the blog for First Central Congregational Church United Church of Christ, Omaha's progressive Christian voice. First Central is the oldest continuously-worshiping Protestant church in Omaha. We celebrated our 150th Anniversary May 4th, 2006. We are a progressive congregation and the second church in Omaha to become Open and Affirming (Hooray!). We are located at 421 South 36th Street, Omaha, NE 68131 (the corner of 36th and Harney).
